What up y’all, my name is Nathan Jasso and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I currently attend the University of North Texas and I’m majoring in Sports Journalism. Growing up in Texas, sports are surrounded by you every where you go, so it was inevitable for myself to develop a passion for it. I’ve played sports all my life, including football, basketball, soccer and baseball. I enjoy talking everything and anything sports related, especially football and basketball. Being able to express my knowledge into writing has taken my passion for sports to the next level. As a Dallas sports fan, growing up watching players like Luka Dončić and Dak Prescott have influenced an even bigger passion for sports in my life, despite all the heartbreaks over the years.

Overall, I hope this opportunity to write for the Table gives me more experience in sports writing. The thought of being able to put my ideas on a paper for people to enjoy is something that I wish for. The job of journalism is not just to inform of what's already known, but also interact with readers on a level where it grabs you in and leaves you with a new perspective. For sports fans, there may be things that attract you and things that may not, but it's no doubt that whatever you're looking for, it's at the Table.
